Drawing & Painting II

Drawing & Painting II

Introduces drawing and painting techniques and a variety of drawing and painting media. Stresses critical analysis of master paintings and drawings of different styles and historical periods; emphasizes problem-solving techniques to achieve desired results in personal work. This advanced course enhances level one skills and builds upon students individuality and creative potentials.

This course requires Art Foundations and the Drawing & Painting I course as prerequisites.

Students in the Drawing & Painting II classes are allowed to make their own choices about which projects they would be most interesting in doing. Therefore, not all students will do exactly the same work. This opportunity is provided to students in an attempt to increase student engagement and accommodate the unique interests and skills of each student choosing to take art as part of their high school experience.
